For Adoption: Adult Ginger Tomcat

From rescuer Lainie:
"This fully-grown male ginger cat is looking for a home. He has been trying to adopt several families around the Taman Tun Dr, Ismail area, ousting other cats from their homes and take their place. This includes my cat (he's in my house because he chased her away, went into her cage and ate her food). He alternates between extreme affection and occasional mad fits — I do think it's frustration from wanting to be owned. He's very persistent. Also very, very intelligent"
Lainie is taking him to the vet for neutering / and vaccinations and will cover these costs.

For Adoption: 2 Kittens

From Fanimaly reader, Jenny Chin:

"My husband and I rescued 2 kittens very recently:

The first was a male black and tan kitty we found shivering in fear on the roadside of a very busy flyover (the one in front of 1 Utama). There was no way he would have escaped from the busy traffic.

Male Kitten

The second is a female grey and white kitty we found outside the toilet at Petronas (opposite Eastin Hotel). She was miserable, dehydrated and had an eye infection. We only managed to rescue her 4 hours after we first spotted her and she hardly moved from the same spot.

Female Kitten

They are both doing well now, eye infection cleared. Very fun to watch them play. They love being held especially the grey and white kitty, she would fall asleep on my tummy or chest, very loving. They are both toilet trained. They are yet to be vaccinated or dewormed. I will do that soon.

We did not know how or who will adopt the kittens when we rescued them, we just knew they would not survive or be miserable if we didn't. And now we're looking everywhere for someone who will love them and give them a good home. I can't keep them because we already have many pets (2 cats, 1 dog, 3 hedgehogs and many fishes) in a small condo unit we live in and it is very difficult to manage 2 more cats. We just couldn't bear watching them in such a sorry state and we really hope to find them a home."

For Adoption: Ah Heng

From my friend, Temme:

"I'm leaving the country for an indefinite amount of time and couldn't convince my parents to care for him. :(
Ah Heng was rescued from the pound when he was a puppy. Age about 3 years plus in human years. Gentle nature. Neutered and yearly shots up to date. Low maintenance. Should be walked daily.
He's not very cat friendly but he can be quite friendly to other dogs. Loving but not overly affectionate. Can get quite playful sometimes. Friendly with strangers. Killed a rat at my house once (something I'm not sure if it's a good thing). Obedient, especially to people who are commanding enough! Good geographical bearings, knows how to come home if he runs off."

For Adoption: Hugo

Before: Hugo in poor shape
Six weeks later: Hugo is the Boss.

From Teresa Chian:

"Hugo is a brave newcomer in my neighourhood in Old Klang Road. Here, all the dogs and puppies move around in a pack, with their mother or with a buddy. But Little Hugo was spotted roaming alone in the back alley when I took my dogs on their daily walks. So, I took him in. A trip to the Vet confirmed that he had very bad skin condition: fungus and mites! But with daily powder, shower and medication, he was to heal in 6 weeks.

Today, Little Hugo is a healthy, bouncy and happy 4-month old puppy. Are you able to give him a loving home? Socialises well with other dogs. Knows how to sit and is toilet-trained. Has been dewormed and soon to be vaccinated."

For Adoption: Jedi

UPDATE: Jedi has just been successfully adopted! Congrats Matt Bellotti & family! May this little bundle of fur bring much love and joy to your home.

"Jedi is a 2-month old female. She was a stray found in Rawang by my friend Wong Ee Lynn. She has since been dewormed, vaccinated and Frontlined on Sat, March 3. She is free to find a good home but we will require a RM100 Spaying Deposit from the adopter. Ee Lynn will contact the adopter when Jedi is 5 months old and arrange for her spaying at RM50 (SPCA rates) and refund the remaining RM50 to the adopter. This is the responsible thing to do to prevent unwanted pregnancies and pet abandonment and overpopulation!"

To Foster / Adopt: Maltese-Terrier mix dogs

"These Maltese terrier mixes were dumped out the front of an animal shelter this weekend. We suspect they are from a puppy farm as all have been debarked and none are desexed. We are URGENTLY seeking foster carers and good homes before they are put to sleep. There are 9 females and 1 male of varying ages."

NOTE:
Viewing in Damansara. Response to this has been positive and only 4 dogs remain.

For Adoption: Rescued kitten (2-3 weeks old)

From my friend Tati:

"A friend's friend found this adorable 2-3 weeks kitten underneath his car yesterday.

Kitten has been taken to the vet and is currently on antibiotics and has been de-wormed.

They are running out of places to keep the kitty so if they don't find a place soon, they might have to give it up to SPCA or PAWS. They called them and it doesn't sound like they will put up with the kitty for long and may put the little thing to sleep."

For Adoption: Gizmo

'Female, one and a half years old, black long hair, short nose. Feisty, friendly (depending on mood) and quite "princess-like" (likes pampering, doesn't like being picked up). Answers to "Gizmo" (sometimes). Needs a loving family with space for her to run around.'

For Adoption: Poodle and Poodle-Terrier mix (9 dogs)

NOTE: These poodles and poodle/terrier mix dogs have been debarked. The pictures above also show the dogs as shaven to remove matted fur due to neglect.

"These poor babies were dumped by unethical breeders. A friend of ours who volunteers at a shelter was told that 9 poodles and poodle mix were found in a large rented dumpster near the shelter in bad condition. Thank god the manager of the shelter agreed to release the dogs and be brought to us instead. We would love for them to find a home ASAP. Interested, please do visit us. We hope dearly, dog lovers/owners out there would want to adopt/sponsor any of these dog as we need to make sure they are vaccinated, dewormed and checked before allowing them to be released for adoption. Adoption fee of RM 130/150 is needed in advance for their spaying. We truly appreciate all the help we can get. Would like to thank the manager of the shelter for releasing them without condition.

For Adoption: Toffee

From my friend Alda Tan:

"Toffee's generally a healthy dog until recently, about 2 months back she got a paw infection which she bite until it bleed. we sent her to the vet and her paw eventually healed, however her skin condition worsened and now requires a weekly vet visit which my parents and myself would struggle to bare. her skin condition we were told is because of Cat fleas in the area. another point to let you know is toffee is suffering from dry eye (right eye) and it sometimes causes her blur vision.

When fully fit, Toffee is a very loyal loverable dog. active at times but of late she has calm down and pretty much sleeps/rest much of the day, i believe its due to her condition and old age, i believe she is about 7 human years old now.

She has not been neutered but since she's a indoor dog, she has not been pregnant. no specific dietary needs. we basically feed her Dog food twice a day.

I dont have a recent picture but she pretty much looks the same. except for the fact that the vet has told us to that she needs to wear the 'lamp shade' thingy.

I think would be best to get her a new environment, one which allow her to get better quick."
